Audax, world leaders in pioneering body worn video (BWV) technology, is collaborating once again with SPOED 112 to raise awareness and promote action to prevent aggression against Police & Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers in Belgium.

Having proudly been a direct sponsor of the last two aggression against EMS awareness campaigns with SPOED 112, the UK based company is now set to be the presenting partner at a symposium in Antwerp on violence against emergency workers and police on 27th October 2021.

Audax is keen to play an active role alongside SPOED 112 to ‘aid those who help us’ in the UK, in Belgium and elsewhere as body worn cameras are a proven solution to mitigate the risk of aggression and violence within the sector. In addition to headline event sponsorship, Audax will be carrying out demonstrations of its BWV technology for attendees.

As featured in the latest issue of SPOED magazine, more and more emergency services and law enforcement workers are equipped with bodycams. In fact, other sectors are also showing interest in utilising body worn video due to their broad range of applications.

In addition to traditional users, such as police, ambulance, and fire brigades, they can also be used for public transport, event security as well as during military operations. In the Netherlands and Belgium, bodycams are especially useful for recording evidence and discouraging undesirable behaviour, but they are also particularly useful as a training tool to replay live incidents to new operatives.

Audax has a long-standing relationship with SPOED 112, with a review featured in its latest quarterly publication:

“The Audax bodyworn camera, at first glance could be considered as ‘an expensive toy’. But, if you take a closer look and hold it in your hands, you will notice how compact it is. It fits in your hand, it is light and easy to attach to a jacket, plate carrier, t-shirt etc. … For the rest, the bodycam fully meets all expectations: Razor sharp images, quality audio and even night vision is no problem at all! Photos, videos, pictures while filming – it’s all possible. Being active in the security sector and recently graduated as an emergency response worker, this body worn camera is a must have in case of aggression and incidents.” – Review by Kevin F. from Gent (featured in SPOEDmagazine edition 03 2021).

Audax is also the prime sponsor of the Ambulance Union, (Ambulanciersunie) and have long been committed to stamping out negative behaviour against emergency services workers in Belgium and across Europe.

The company is looking forward to showing their support for this important initiative at the SPOED 112 symposium on 27th October 2021 taking place in Antwerpen. Alongside presentations and live demonstrations, every attendee to the symposium will receive a training certificate and lunch is provided. For more information, visit SPOED112.com.
